There are several reasons for the Indiana Pacers' sudden surge in rebounds.

The offense is spread out more, creating what coach Rick Carlisle calls "pockets of space"
for rebounders going after missed shots. Jeff Foster and Scot Pollard, who enjoy the dirty work,
are on the court together more often. Also, the Pacers are handling the ball better.

These factors have allowed the Pacers to dominate the glass lately. The Pacers have outrebounded

energy off the bench. The bench has scored at least 42 points in five consecutive games.
Jones is averaging 15.8 points in those five games. During that span, Harrison and Granger
have scored in double figures in each game that they've been a reserve.
